if Niamh Yelverton mentioned, but she's putting on a summer series of 8k runs in Newport on Monday nights at 8pm – fun runs similar to our Thursday runs. It free
They start at the Clare Glens picnic area carpark – so through Newport and right at the GAA grounds, and its about 2k up that road on the right. I did it last night and
it's a nice route, a bit undulating (show me a road round here that isn't) with a nice hill up to the finish Course is actually 8.6k.
There was also a 5k and 3.5k option.
