Despite the financial difficulties of present times the 2011 Christmas Shoe Box Appeal was an overwhelming success, with in excess of 180,000 boxes donated nationwide to the Irish charity ‘Team Hope’. The local organisers wish to extend sincere thanks to all who contributed in the Killaloe/Ballina area and to retail outlets and schools that facilitated the collection.
