Boru Duathlon is taking place in Killaloe this coming Sunday 7 April. The race starts at 10am in Kincora Harbour and will see over 150 athletes taking part. The 5km and 3km run routes take in some of Killaloe's most beautiful scenery including Brian Boru's Fort, Brian Boru's Well, the new canal boardwalk, and canal bank. The 16km bike route is a straight out and back from Kincora Harbour to Ogonnelloe. For more info go to the Boru Duathlon event page. Be sure to come out and support this great local event and cheer on all the athletes.

Boru Tri Club are looking for volunteers to help out with the event, so if you're not racing please email info@borutriclub.com to get involved. Donations of buns, cakes, muffins, chocolate, etc. all welcome too.

Traffic restrictions will be in place from 9.30am to 12pm on the day of the event between the traffic lights on the canal bank side of the bridge in Killaloe out to entrance to Kincora Harbour, Brian Boru's Fort and road to Ogonnelloe. Please drive carefully.
