A great alternative to foam rolling for the athlete – the massage roller or muscle stick – lots of different versions out. Looks and feels a bit like Satan's Rolling PIn but you can be more specific with it, get into the tricky muscles, and its easier to control the pressure than the foam roller. Worth a try if you are prone to stiffness or injury
