An estimated 4,000 visitors converged on Killaloe/Ballina on Sunday week last to join with the locals for ‘Discover Day’, the event was one of the most successful ventures ever held in the area. Great credit is due to the organising team of Waterways Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, and members of the local steering committee for bringing such an event to the twin towns. The Killaloe/Ballina communities showed what a wealth of talent exists locally with continuous indoor and outdoor music events, free tours and boat trips, exhibitions, painting sessions, dancing and much more. Well done to all concerned.
