From the Ayurvedic perspective, Summer is the season that you should take some time to just chill out! Indulge your palate with sweet & bitter tastes and avoid all things that will heat you up too much….
For all of you eager to experiment with raw foods… this is the season most suitable:) But be careful if you're Vata dominant or your digestion is weak.

Best Summer Foods & Drinks (cooling)
Ripe juicy fruits (the summer stone fruits & berries, etc), Green leafy vegetables, Salad greens, Cucumber: Bitter melon, Elderflowers, Aloe vera juice, Coconut water, Marshmallow tea, Moringa oleifera (Drumsticks), etc

Worst Summer Foods & Drinks (heating)
Red meat, Alcohol, pungent spices (chili, black pepper, mustard seeds, etc), Oranges, Fried Foods, Junk foods, Processed foods, etc
