Great news for Boher National School when it was recently announced that all its prefabs will be replaced with four classrooms, under the government’s capital investment programme for schools. Boher Primary School has expanded in just one decade from a school of 26 students to its present number which is well in excess of 110 children. Boher has an excellent Autism Unit that provides a great service to the local area.

They start at the Clare Glens picnic area carpark – so through Newport and right at the GAA grounds, and its about 2k up that road on the right. I did it last night and
it's a nice route, a bit undulating (show me a road round here that isn't) with a nice hill up to the finish 
Course is actually 8.6k.
There was also a 5k and 3.5k option.
