So who's heading to Kilrush next week for the Up The Creek sprint triathlon? We want to get a huge club turnout to this event and support our West Clare Tri Club neighbours. The event will include a team competition with the first four club members home counting towards the overall club prize. It promises to be a fast triathlon and a great day.

200 Thousand euro for Killaloe Sports Project!
The government has announced a significant funding grant for a Killaloe sporting project which has already received strong backing from rugby great Keith Wood. Minister Phil Hogan has given the green light for Clare Local Development Company to grant 200,000 euro for the development of 2 grass playing pitches and a synthetic pitch at Clarisford, Killaloe. The grant will cover around half of the overall cost of the project, which is being driven by the Ballina/Killaloe Sports & Community Facilities Development Company South East Clare Councillor Pascal Fitzgerald says the project has come about because of the work of a number of interested groups, including Killaloe native and former Ireland and Lions star Keith Wood.
