Just to let you know that plans for Féile Brian Ború 2012 are well underway and this year's festival promises to be bigger and better than ever! In order to fit all the events into this year's programme, we have added a few more days so Féile Brian Ború 2012 will run from 22nd June – 1st July. We will have some great new events this year and we will also host some of the regular events, such as Animal Magic, the stunning Fireworks display, the Féile Table Quiz, events in the Pop-Up Playhouse, historical walks and tours, and plenty more!

Bushy Island

Waterways Ireland has been advised that a pair of very rare white-tailed eagles have recently built a nest and is breeding on Bushy Island, Lough Derg.

Masters are requested that that in order to protect the eagles that they observe a voluntary exclusion zone by not encroaching within 250m of the island.

Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.
