Killaloe Bypass, Shannon Bridge Crossing and R494 Improvement Scheme – Compulsory acquisition of land

Clare County Council (the road authority) on its own behalf and on behalf of North Tipperary County Council has applied under section 51(2) (as amended by section 9(1)(e)(i) of the Roads Act 2007) to An Bord Pleanála (the Board) for approval in relation to a proposed road development comprising inter alia: a bypass of Killaloe, a bridge crossing of the River Shannon and an upgrade of the R494 in Ballina, in the townlands of Ballyvally, Knockyclovaun, Creeveroe, Shantraud, Killestry and Moys, County Clare; and Roolagh, Kilmaglasderry, Garrynatineel, Lackenavea (Egremont), Knockadromin Coolnadornory and Gortybrigane, County Tipperary
