Dolphins Stranded at Bunratty
Killaloe coastguard were tasked to Bunratty where 3 common Dolphins were caught above Bunratty bridge due to low tide.
Valentia Coast Guard Radio had concerns that members of the public would try to enter the water in an attempt to rescue them and endanger their own safety.
When Killaloe Coast Guard arrived the Dolphins were in a deep pool of water above Bunratty bridge, they had tryed to pass

26′ Cruiser Taking on Water
Killaloe Coast Guard Unit was tasked to a 26′ Timber Cabin Cruiser that had run aground between O’Briens Bridge and Clonlara and was taking on water. The Skipper owner and three children were taken to safety. All nearly 3.5 hours using coast guard salvage pumps all efforts to re float the boat failed.

Aircraft ELT Beacons Located
Killaloe Coast Guard Unit after over eight hours searching located three active emergency beacons, ELT’s in the O’Brien’s Bridge area. The Local Killaloe Unit of the Irish Coast Guard wish to advice all owners of emergency beacons, ELT or EPIRB to keep them in a dry cool area and make sure that batteries are fully charged.

Killaloe Coast Guard Unit & Rescue 115 the Irish Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter from Shannon have resumed a search for an active aircraft alert beacon signal somewhere in the O’Brien’s Bridge Area in Co Clare. It is unknown at this stage as to the nature however all activation’s of emergency transponders must be fully investigated .

Aircraft Beacon Alert Near Bridgetown Co Clare
Killaloe Coast Guard Unit was tasked by Valentia Coast Guard Mission Control Sub Center to a report of an aircraft beacon between Bridgetown and east of O Brien’s Bridge. After an extensive search over a large area Killaloe Coast Guard Unit waited on more accurate information. AA search is still continuing in the Birdhill Area.
