Maeve Óg earns 1st Senior cap
Congratulations to our former Girl’s Player Maeve Óg O’Leary who earned her 1st, of many it’s hoped!, Senior women’s International Cap in the Ireland vs USA Rugby match at the weekend.
Maeve Óg first started playing rugby with Ballina Killaloe RFC and St. Anne’s Community College only a few years ago and has had a stellar rise through the rugby ranks, earning her 1st Munster cap earlier this year too. She currently plays for Blackrock RFC while in college in Dublin.
Maeve Óg was always destined to be a success on the sporting field having previously competed with Ireland Softball teams, as well as winning All Ireland, Munster and County medals with Ballina Camoige GAA and St. Anne’s CC Camoige.

Provincial caps for former players
Congratulations to our two former Ballina-Killaloe RFC players who played in Sunday’s U19 inter-pro match, Connacht vs Munster.
In the Connacht Jersey we have Jack O’Mahony and in the red of Munster, Harry Byrne.
Munster won the game 43-8
It’s always great to see more young stars in the making as both started their grassroots rugby at Ballina-Killaloe RFC.
Well done to the parents, coaches and to the boys themselves for all the hard work and dedication that they have and are still putting in.
“On-wards and upwards to boys”.
U12 Girls play at Thomond Park

On what was an emotionally charged day for the whole rugby community our girls turned in a stellar performance, running in 4 tries, putting on a showcase of excellent rugby skills.
