Killaloe Coast Guard Water Training
New Members of Killaloe Coast Guard who were taken on last May 2012 and are nearly finished their twelve month probationary period started their first session of water based training last night.

Speed Boat Adrift at Killaloe
Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were tasked by Valentia Coast Guard (Marine Rescue Sub Centre) after a call from a member of the public reported a speed boat adrift near Killaloe. A quick response fro Killaloe Coast Guard took control of the vessel which was brought and secured to safe mooring.

Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were tasked by Valentia Coast Guard (Marine Rescue Sub Centre) after a call from a member of the public reported a speed boat adrift near Killaloe. A quick response fro Killaloe Coast Guard took control of the vessel which was brought and secured to safe mooring.

Killaloe National School
The pupils of Killaloe National School paid a visit to the local Killaloe Coast Guard Unit today and were shown the resources available to the community for an emergency They were also given a safety on the water presentation which covered Swimming Sea and River, Boating, Fishing and what to do in an emergency. While at the Units base they were treated to a live tasking to a speed boat adrift.

Dolphins Stranded at Bunratty
Killaloe coastguard were tasked to Bunratty where 3 common Dolphins were caught above Bunratty bridge due to low tide.
Valentia Coast Guard Radio had concerns that members of the public would try to enter the water in an attempt to rescue them and endanger their own safety.
When Killaloe Coast Guard arrived the Dolphins were in a deep pool of water above Bunratty bridge, they had tryed to pass
