The annual 24 hour fast in aid of Trócaire organised during lent by the fourth year students at St Anne’s Community College realised 3,500 euro. Caroline Tierney the liaison officer with Trócaire visited St Anne’s where she met with the students and outlined the work undertaken in developing countries thanks to the generosity of the people. Caroline was overwhelmed at the amount raised by the students and let it be known that the money raised in Killaloe was one of the highest figures raised by students in Ireland.
