On behalf of CELT and East Clare Learning Network, and as part of National Adult Learners Week, Bob Wilson from CELT will be leading a guided walk to the Brian Boru oak via Raheen Oak Wood:
Tues 25th Feb, 10.30am to 12.30pm, starting from Scariff Community College – meet at 10.15am
Note : this year is the 1000 yr celebration of Brian Boru. It is commonly held that the ancient oak would have started its life around the time of Brian Boru’s encampment along the shores of Lough Derg.
