The Killaloe Unit of the Coast Guard are now recruiting new volunteers, Ladies and Gents interested in joining the land and water search & rescue team need to be over 18 and live within 4 miles of Killaloe/Ballina. Any skills such as; first aid, boat handling, hiking experience, team admin etc. would be a bonus but will be covered during training.
If you would like to chat to volunteers about what’s involved in this valuable community resource there will be a recruitment night in JD’s Bar, Ballina on Tuesday 17th at 8pm and the base will be open to the public on Sunday 28th April from 11 to 4pm during the Discover Killaloe & Ballina Day.
