The Newport 10k Run and Family Fun 6k walk will take place next week on Friday night 25th at 6.30pm or walkers and 7.30pm for runners. This is the 3rd Annual Newport 10k and is becomming very popular with runners of all levals and walkers. Its a great family event. Follow us on Facebook at Newport 10k Ru. This is an AAI licenced race and is acurately measured by Jones Counter.

Routes
Walkers go from the Community Centre to the GAA pitch take a right down to the Clare Glens and return the same way.

Runners will start near the Graveyard continue down the road, take a left at the square and then right at the GAA pitch on throught the Clare Glens and right at the crossroads, down Ashroe and then right to bring you over the narrow bridge and straight home throught the Square and finish at the Community Centre where there will be plenty of tea and sambos.

This race is a fundraiser for the Newport Community Centre Restoration fund and also for Cyctic Fibrosis. Community support for this event is much appreciated.
